Partner register address

The address is the starting point of almost every partner process. This is where the data set is created that sales, purchasing, CRM and shipping use together.

Only change information whose technical impact you know. Read-only values ​​and evaluation fields are taken from master data, documents or financial postings.

Identification and address

• Partner number: Unique internal number of the partner. For an existing data record it is read-only.
• Match code: Short search term under which the partner can be quickly found in lists, documents and selections. The matchcode is primarily used to quickly find the partner and is usually not printed out on documents.
• Name 1: Leading company or personal name. When creating a new one, it forms the basis for the proposed matchcode together with the location.
• Name 2: Additional name line, such as company division, branch or additional name.
• Street: Street and house number of the main address.
• Zip code: Zip code. A suitable location assignment can be suggested automatically.
• Location: location of main address; is also used for matchcode formation.
• Country: Country of main address. It affects address format, tax logic and country-specific processes.
• Partner group: Technical grouping of the partner for selection, rules and evaluations.

Communication

• Phone 1: Primary phone number for general contact.
• Phone 2: Additional telephone number, for example head office or extension.
• Mobile: Mobile phone number of the partner or general contact point.
• Fax: Fax number if the communication path is still in use.
• Email: General email address. It can be used for communication and as a starting point for email lists.
• Homepage: Partner’s internet address; is used as a callable link.
• Private person: Indicates that the record describes a private individual and not a company.

Settings

• Language: Partner's preferred language for texts and editions, if translations are available.
• Location: Assigns the partner to an internal location.

Work safely

First enter your name and address, then check the matchcode and add at least one reliable communication channel.
