Assign initial document numbers
When new data records are created, the numbers are assigned consecutively and in ascending order. For each document type, determine which document number should start with in X-ERP or which is the next number.

When new data records are created, the numbers are assigned consecutively and in ascending order. For each document type, determine which document number should start with in X-ERP or which is the next number.
Please note that the numbers are composed as follows: The doc number prefix is placed in front of the doc number (see Administration > Master data initialization > Docs > Document chain). This is followed by the abbreviation for the year (e.g. 25 for the year 2025) and the abbreviation for the month (e.g. 01 for January) and the doc number.
Start in the desktop Administration > Master data initialization > Docs.
Fields
- Doc type: Decide which document type you want to set the number for. (see Administration > Master data initialization > Docs > Doc chain)
- First doc number: Set the first doc number.
- Set number: By pressing the button the number is adopted.
Doc sequences
In the documentary sequences (see Administration > Master data initialization > Docs) All document types in the document chain are listed. In the last column (sequence) you can see what the last assigned doc number was.
