The company's master data initialization area connects your company's identity with the regional master data that X-ERP requires in addresses, communication and location-related processes. Clear maintenance saves rework in many areas later.
Company: invest correctly once, use it reliably everywhere
On the desktop Administration > Master data initialization > Company The basic settings for your own company are recorded. The settings should be made before starting work in X-ERP. Master data system changes should be made by an administrator as they affect the work with the program. This information is reused in many places - which is why it is particularly important to be careful.
What belongs here?
- Company settings: official company and contact details, identification numbers, company type and central specifications.
- Company locations: understandable names for organizational or spatial locations.
- Countries: Country code, EU membership and international telephone area code.
- Zip code: unique combination of zip code, city, country and area code.
- Languages: Language code and descriptive name.
- Time zones: technically clear time zones with active status and sorting.
Proven structure
- Check countries, languages and time zones first.
- Add required postal codes.
- Create company locations with permanently understandable names.
- Finally, complete the company settings.
Quality benchmark
A new employee should be able to select a location, country or language without asking. Avoid abbreviations that only one person understands and do not create duplicates for the same subject.
