Financial reports condense postings into decision-making statements: liquidity, assets, results, account movements and cost accounting become visible from the same data set.
To do this, you use financial reports
- From and to periods limit the evaluation period.
- Preview creates the report from the current posting status.
- Balance sheet, income statement, BWA and totals/balance list use the assignments of the chart of accounts.
- Cost reports evaluate cost types, cost centers and cost objects.
- Journal, account sheet and OP list provide the verifiable details behind the totals.
Safe process
- Choose the technically correct report.
- Set from and to periods within the same fiscal year.
- Generate the preview and check the period and heading.
- Trace suspicious amounts back to the account or posting record.
Then check
- Period, posting status and account allocation are confirmed; Totals can be traced down to the individual receipt.
