Extra fields expand the document to include information that your company has defined itself. Both columns are loaded from the configuration; Changes are saved directly in this view.
The specific field names differ depending on the company database, and changes are saved immediately. Read the description and work instructions completely before changing a value.
Possible field types
- Yes/No: Checkbox for a binary property.
- Short text: Single-line field for freely defined information.
- Long text / XML: Multi-line field for detailed or structured content.
- Decimal number: Numerical value with decimal places.
- Integer: Numerical value without decimal places.
- Date: Calendar date without time.
- Date/Time: Point in time with time and, depending on the data type, time zone reference.
- GUID (read-only): Technical unique identifier.
- Image/File: Binary content maintained via a configured component.
- Selection from linked table: Links a record from a configured table.
- Read-only field: Populated by a process or rule and is for display only.
Work safely
Always change only one technically understood field, check the immediate storage and test the effect on output, release and subsequent documents.
