Relocation: Move inventory without losing track

Inventory transfer moves existing quantities of items from the source warehouse or bin to a destination. The overall inventory remains the same - X-ERP documented, where from the goods came, where she went and who was responsible for the process. In a transfer, several items can be transferred at the same time, provided that the source warehouse/source storage bin and the destination warehouse/destination storage bin match.

Create a warehouse transfer correctly

1. Open the desktop button Stock Transfer on the desktop Storage and choose New.
2. Choose the person responsible Employees. By default, the logged in user is listed.
3. Determine Source camp and, if storage spaces are used there, the Source storage location.
4. Determine Target camp and if necessary Target storage location.
5. Please check the source and destination particularly carefully before confirming. This information forms the framework for all positions and processes.

Overview

• Transfer number: Unique identifier of the operation.
• Employees: Responsible person.
• Source warehouse / source storage location: Place where the quantity is taken.
• Target warehouse / destination storage location: Place where the quantity is stored.
• Info: Reason, transport reference or internal note.
• Transfer date: Creation date

About Add item (+) select stocked items. Remove incorrect positions, update the view if changes are made in the meantime, and save the draft only after it has been completely checked.

• item, name 1 and name 2: Identify the position.
• Stock: Inventory available at departure location for guidance.
• Quantity: Quantity actually to be moved. The quantity is standard with 1 specified. Adjust the value to the desired amount.
• ME: Unit of measure for the transfer quantity.
• Series/batch: Clear selection of individualized items; the selection is limited to the source warehouse and the source storage location.

Lock securely

1. Compare the transfer quantity with the inventory shown.
2. For series and batch items, check the selected customization.
3. Check that the source and destination have not been accidentally swapped.
4. Save the draft and edit possible validation messages per position. After successful saving, no more changes are possible.
5. After completion, check the decreased inventory at the source and the increased inventory at the destination.
6. Check the warehouse history - the movement must remain clearly explainable later.

An inventory transfer does not correct unknown stockouts. If the existing quantity does not match reality, clarify the cause and use the intended inventory process.
