Toolbox fields

Toolbox Fields supplements screens with configurable fields and their display.

Recommended process

1. Clarify the target, affected record and required permissions.
2. Open on desktop Administration the area Toolbox > Toolbox field .
3. Check existing information and record the change completely and comprehensibly.
4. Save and check the result in the associated follow-up process or in the appropriate list.

Fields - General

• Active: Activate the new field.
• Landing page: Select the landing page in X-ERP.
• Technical name: Assign a technical name.
• Label: Label of the new field
• Description: Free text field
• Field type: Decide which type the field should be created with.

Fields - Behavior

• marked one Mandatory field:
• Required field: Requirement for the new field.
• Just Visible when field is also activated.
• Read only: There is only read permission.
• Read-only if field is present.

Fields - placement and presentation

• Placement: of the new field (page, tab or field)
• Position: Number of the positioning of the new field.
• Presentation: Type of representation

Fields - values and validation

Capture specifications.

• Default value:
• Validation regular expression:
• Validation expression:
• Minimum length:
• Maximum length:

Then check

• Master data, status and responsibility are complete and plausible.
• The change is saved and can be found again via search or list.
• The adjacent process accepts the data as expected.

Avoid typical mistakes

Leave Toolbox field not immediately after an entry. Save consciously and then check whether the expected result is visible.
