Formatted search

Formatted search is a search query in which search terms are structured and marked so that the system understands and highlights them. It can use special operators, fields, wildcards, or formatting to produce more precise results.

Recommended process

1. Clarify the target, affected record and required permissions.
2. Open on desktop Administration the area Master data initialization > Formatted search.
3. Check existing information and record the change completely and comprehensibly.
4. Save and check the result in the associated follow-up process or in the appropriate list.

Fields

• Name: Give it a unique name.
• Source value SQL selection:
• Choose Target page, target table and target field in X-ERP.
• Trigger mode: Choose between insert or update
• Trigger trigger when changing: Trigger when selecting Update insert.
• Activate: By removing the checkmark, the formatted search is inactive.
• Draft: Creation is done in draft mode.

Then check

• Master data, status and responsibility are complete and plausible.
• The change is saved and can be found again via search or list.
• The adjacent process accepts the data as expected.

Avoid typical mistakes

Leave Formatted search not immediately after an entry. Save consciously and then check whether the expected result is visible.
