Storage locations

Bins translate a large warehouse into a clear, searchable structure. The view not only shows names and hierarchy, but also normal and individualized stocks per location.

Do not move or delete occupied bins until inventory, open transactions, and hierarchical subbins have been checked.

Structure (Overview tab)

• Stock: Warehouse to which the place belongs.
• Name: Clear designation of the storage location.
• Parents: Optional parent bin under which this bin appears in the hierarchy.

Inventory control (Register items)

• item: Name of the stored item
• Stock: Total posted quantity on this seat.
• Packed: Total packed quantity in the storage bin.
• Now available: Currently freely usable amount on this space.
• Minimum stock: Lower target stock that can be taken into account when determining requirements.
• Reporting threshold: Threshold below which procurement needs should become apparent.
• Maximum stock: Upper target stock for replenishment and inventory planning.
• New: Creates an additional item/storage location assignment; This does not replace existing movements; only threshold values can be recorded.

Work safely

Plan short, clear place names, arrange the hierarchy from rough to fine and check the displayed stocks before making any structural changes.
