Boxes

A box is a specific package item on a packing list. It connects the recipient, receipt, packaging, contents and shipping information so that a package can be clearly traced later.

Boxes: Clearly trace each package

A box is not an abstract packaging template, but a real package. It is part of a packing list and contains the information that connects storage, shipping and later research.

How to use the detailed view

  1. Open a box from the box list if you want to track a specific package using the desktop button Boxing on the desktop Storage.
  2. Compare packing list, customer, package number and shipping number.
  3. Check weight, cost, shipping date and tracking details.

Check especially

  • Packing list and recipient match.
  • The package and shipping number identify exactly this package.
  • Shipping date, weight, cost and currency are plausible.
  • Tracking URL and waybill number come from the correct shipping process.
  • The outer packaging correctly reflects the real packaging hierarchy.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I change the contents of a box?

Use the packing screen for this. Items can be packed or unpacked there as long as the box is not blocked or shipped.

What is the outer packaging used for?

It represents a packaging hierarchy, such as several boxes on a pallet or a package in a larger group package.

Why are many fields read-only?

The detailed view documents data that arises from the packing list and shipping process. This means that receipts and traceability are maintained.
