Field types

Why field types are important

The field type determines which inputs X-ERP accepts, how a value is checked and how it is later displayed. Anyone who recognizes the field type will understand more quickly whether free text, a number, a selection or a link is expected.

Work safely

Before saving, check whether the value matches the visible field type. For select and lookup fields, use existing entries instead of expecting similar-looking free text.
