01. Check access and change password
This is how you check the initial administrative access, change the start password and create a reliable personal login.
A startup password is an invitation, not a permanent state. Only when access clearly belongs to one person does reliable administration begin.
Responsibility that carries with you in everyday life
X-ERP protects login with password policies and can lock accounts after failed attempts. That's why password changes, contact details and a tested recovery path go together.
This creates a clean working environment
- Open the exactly transferred X-ERP address and select the correct company database.
- Log in with personal starting access.
- Start on the desktop Administration the desktop button User.
- Then select Change password out. Enter the new password and repeat the entry in the confirmation field.
- Pay attention to the password security requirements.
- Log out and log in again with the new password.
- Check who can unlock accounts and reset passwords.
The short handover check
- Login only works with the new password.
- Email address and person shown are correct.
- Browsers or sticky notes do not contain a plain text password.
- A second person responsible knows the regulated recovery path.
What good administrators immediately think about
- Multiple guesses may lock the account; use the reset way.
- Shared accounts prevent a robust changelog.
- A management password stored in the browser is a risk on shared devices.
This is what you take with you
The first approach is personal, repeatable and secure enough to base all subsequent steps on.
