The overview determines what a warehouse can be used for and how X-ERP organizes stocks in it. A few switches make decisions about storage, retrieval and working with storage locations.
The Storage Locations option cannot be changed casually for an existing warehouse. Clarify the desired storage structure before making the first inventory posting.
Identification and organization
- Camp name: Clear name of the camp that can be understood in everyday life.
- Location: Assigns the warehouse to an organizational or spatial location.
- Type: Arranges the warehouse according to a previously created one Storage type (see Storage > Storage type) to. Select an existing storage type. If necessary, a new storage type can be created directly using the plus button. The assignment supports a uniform organization and evaluation of the warehouse.
- Active: Controls whether the warehouse is selectable and usable for new operations.
Inventory control
- Storage locations: Activates finer inventory management at individual locations within the warehouse. If the bearing is saved, the setting is protected and can no longer be changed. The storage locations are managed centrally Storage > Storage locations.
- Storage block: Prevents new entries into this warehouse without deleting existing inventory.
- Stock block: Prevents new withdrawals from this warehouse, for example during an inspection or inventory.
- Counting list number: Number or number range reference for counting lists for this warehouse.
- Storage location assistant: Creates or structures bins for a warehouse that works with bins.
Work safely
First assign a unique warehouse name, select the location and storage type and then make conscious decisions about storage locations and locks.
