X-ERP Help

Packing

When packing, picked goods become a traceable shipment. X-ERP assigns open document items to specific boxes and keeps quantity, weight, content and series or batch reference together.

Packing: Goods become a reliable shipment

When packing, it is decided whether a delivery reaches the customer completely, correctly and comprehensibly. X-ERP therefore connects each package with its packing list and immediately shows which quantities are still open and what is already in which box.

How to pack safely

  1. Open the packing list in the customer document Picking list after you complete the process Pack have carried out.
  2. Lay along + an empty box. X-ERP assigns the next package number.
  3. Choose that Box type and add the weight, contents and, if applicable, the shipping number. The field total quantity is automatically filled by the program with the quantity of packed items after the packing process.
  4. Mark open positions or contribute Pack a subset.
  5. Take the quantity with you → Pack in box into the selected box.
  6. For series or batch items, select the specific numbers. The total quantity selected must correspond exactly to the pack quantity.
  7. Check the box contents. With ← Unpacking Selected items can be returned to the open quantities.
  8. Lock a finished package over the Lock iconif you no longer want to change its contents, and check the preview if necessary.
  9. Only when everything is right do you choose Send. Once shipped, the packing list can no longer be changed. Then you can Print label.

Frequently asked questions

Can I spread a position across multiple boxes?

Yes. Enter the desired partial quantity as the packing quantity and assign it to the selected box. The remaining amount remains visible as open.

Why can't I delete a box?

Only empty, unlocked and unshipped boxes can be removed. Unpack the contents first and release the lock if necessary.

What happens when “Send” occurs?

X-ERP saves the status and locks the packages against further changes to the content. Therefore, check the quantities, numbers, weight and templates beforehand.

What do I have to consider for series and batch items?

Select the specific numbers available. The sum of the selected quantities must correspond exactly to the specified packing quantity.
