The asset master describes the individual asset: identity, acquisition, account assignment, depreciation, current status and all value-changing processes.

That's what you use this page for

  • Asset number and depreciation type identify the asset.

Plant number: The system or inventory number can be freely assigned. Each system number can only exist once in the system. The numbers should be assigned systematically and clearly. (For example, year-general ledger account-sequential number)

Info: Name the asset.

  • The asset account and group classify it in accounting terms.

Asset account: All accounts that are in the. can be selected Chart of accounts marked as an fixed asset account.

Plant group: If necessary, assign a group to divide the assets.

  • Net acquisition costs and acquisition date form the basis for valuation.

AHK net: Acquisition costs

Calculation of start acquisition costs net: If the asset is taken over from a previous system - i.e. it is a carryforward - the value with which depreciation starts in X-ERP is recorded.

Date of purchase: Date of purchase

Calculation start: If the asset is taken over from a previous system - i.e. it is a carryforward - the date on which depreciation starts in X-ERP is recorded. The calculation start serves as Activation date.

  • The cycle and activation date determine the depreciation.

cycle: Decide whether depreciation should be monthly or annual.

Start of depreciation: Time from which the asset is depreciated. By default, the program selects the first day of the month in which the Activation took place. The depreciation start date can be changed manually. If the start of depreciation is changed at a time when depreciation has already begun, the depreciation for the remaining useful life is automatically recalculated.

Depreciation account: Select the account from the Chart of accounts.

Duration of use: The useful life in months is taken from the Depreciation type adopted or can be entered manually.

Worth remembering: Possibility of entering a value that remains in the accounting after an asset has been completely written off, so that the asset continues to be recorded in the asset register as long as it is still used in the company.

  • Activation and posting allocation.

About the switch Activate the system is activated. Check your entries before activation, as data such as the fixed asset account, the AHK value, the acquisition date and the start of depreciation can no longer be changed after activation.

The switch Link posting assigns existing posting records to this asset. Only posting items that contain the corresponding fixed asset account can be selected.

  • The Register Depreciation forecast shows the depreciation history.
  • In the register Posted sales Additions, depreciation and disposal values are documented.
  • At declining balance or staggered depreciation is also the register Details available to document the percentage depreciation rates.

Safe process

  1. Create the asset with a unique number.
  2. Check account, group and depreciation type.
  3. Record the acquisition value and date.
  4. Check the complete depreciation schedule.

Then check

  • Acquisition receipt, asset master, plan and current book value.
