Price lists
Sales price lists store sales prices per item and key date. Foreign currency and price assistant enable clearly separated markets and prepared price changes.
Maintain price lists
A sales price list is the memory of your sales prices. It not only specifies an amount, but also the point in time from which it should apply. This allows price increases to be prepared without overwriting the current price.
Price list fields
- Name: Clear, short name of the list, for example “Standard EUR”, “Dealer” or “Swiss CHF”.
- Foreign currency: Optional price list currency. If it is set, the associated document prices are treated as foreign currency prices and not in company currency as usual.
Fields of a sales price
- item: Item to which the price applies.
- Price list: Associated sales price list.
- Valid from: First day the prize may be used.
- Selling price: Amount for the price unit defined on the item.
- Price unit: Displayed if the price unit is not equal to 1. It is informative and comes from the item.
- Foreign currency: Displayed if the price list is in a foreign currency.
The combination of item, price list and valid from is clear. There cannot be two prices in the same list for the same item on the same date.
Sales price assistant for item groups
The assistant generates prices for all items of a selected number on a specific date item group and one Sales price list. You specify exactly one type of calculation:
- Set absolute price: Each affected item will receive the same amount.
- Factor: The last valid price is multiplied, for example 1.05 for a 5% increase.
- Difference: A fixed amount is added or deducted from the last valid price.
Example
The “Standard EUR” list contains a price of 100 euros on January 1st. With a factor of 1.05 and valid from July 1st, the assistant generates 105 euros from July. Until then, the January entry remains valid.
Check before sharing
- The name and currency of the list are unique.
- Item and price unit were checked before price calculation.
- The deadline has been technically approved.
- Only the absolute price, factor or difference is filled in the assistant.
- A sample of cheap, expensive and unusually priced items is plausible.
- A test receipt before and after the deadline shows the expected price.
Never make mass changes without sampling. An incorrect factor not only multiplies the price, but also the number of records that need to be corrected.

Frequently asked questions
Can I enter a future price today?
Yes. Create a new entry with a future valid-from date; the previous price remains in effect until then.
What three methods does Pricing Wizard offer?
Set an absolute price, multiply the previous price by a factor or add a fixed difference. Only one method can be filled at a time.
Why can't I save an entry?
Check whether the same combination of item, price list and valid-from date already exists.
Where does the price unit come from?
From the item master. The sales price applies to exactly this price unit.
