8. For System Administrators – Set up servers and create company databases
This installation path leads from the prepared Windows server to a secured, documented and recoverable X-ERP operation.
When the X-ERP login appears at the end, the user only sees one page. Behind this is a precise chain of operating system, SQL Server, IIS, .NET, certificate, XLD and company database.
Why this station counts
The quality arises at the transitions. Each component must not only be installed, but also link to the next with a unique name, service account, port, authorization, backup destination and functionality sample.
The resilient process
- Document target architecture, names, ports, certificate, accounts, locations, and fallback path.
- Update and harden Windows Server; install SQL Server, IIS and the .NET Hosting Bundle.
- Create XLD and company database with the designated X-ERP tools.
- Install and configure X-ERP; bind a valid certificate to the intended address.
- Test services, database, login, file attachments, backup and restore.
- Hand over operations manual and separate credentials.
Functional test - only then continue
- Each component has owner, version and configuration evidence.
- Only required ports and accounts are released.
- X-ERP starts automatically after a planned restart.
- Backup and restore have been practically tested.
- Monitoring detects failures before users do.
If the result is not correct
- “Just working” is not evidence of rebootability or restoreability.
- Shared service and administrator accounts increase damage and complicate audits.
- Certificate expiration and storage growth often only become visible in the event of an incident.
This is what you take with you
You build a comprehensible operating chain that not only starts, but also remains manageable despite changes, errors and restarts.

The documented X-ERP server path uses IIS for the web application and Microsoft SQL Server for central data.
**When is the installation completed?**
Only after documented functional, security, backup and restore checks.
