X-ERP Help

Chatbot settings

In the chatbot settings you give the X-ERP chatbot its overarching framework. Clear informational text establishes the role, tone, boundaries and desired behavior – and makes responses more predictable.

Chatbot settings: the common compass for every answer

The chatbot needs a clear role. Should it provide brief instructions, explain terms or refer to further information? The central basic information creates this framework for all discussions.

Field explains

  • Info: Overarching information text for the chatbot. Describe the role, audience, tone, permitted knowledge base, boundaries, and desired behavior when faced with uncertainty.

Good basic information answers five questions

  1. Who are you? Role of the chatbot in the X-ERP context.
  2. Who are you helping? Target groups and their typical level of knowledge.
  3. How do you answer? Tone, length, structure and language used.
  4. What are you not allowed to do? No made-up facts, no releases, no confidential content.
  5. What happens when there is uncertainty? Ask questions or refer you to reliable help or a responsible person.

Test safely

After each change, check at least one simple question, one unclear question, one technical borderline case and one question outside the intended knowledge. Good attitudes don't make every answer long - they make the right answer comprehensible.
